Bluetooth in your new Toyota

Bluetooth hands-free phone technology is quickly becoming one of the most popular features available on Toyotas.  A lot of our customers have misconceptions about Bluetooth - hopefully this will help.

Q. What is Bluetooth?
A. Bluetooth is a technology that allows your car to communicate wirelessly with your Bluetooth compatible mobile phone.  After completing the initial pairing process (here is a page we’ve created with video tutorials on how to pair your phone with your new Toyota), your phone will automatically wirelessly connect to your car every time you are in the car with the phone turned on.  When you get a phone call, you’ll see the Caller ID show up on the stereo display – and you’ll be able to answer the call (putting it on speaker using the cars built in stereo and microphone) by merely hitting a button on the steering wheel of your Toyota.  You’ll even be able to make outgoing calls by talking to your Toyota!

Q.  Will my phone work?
A.   Most Bluetooth compatible phones work perfectly with our cars.  If you’d like to be certain, you can visit Toyota’s compatibility site here.

Q.  This sounds expensive?  How much does it cost?
A.  There is no subscription fee.  Once you have a Bluetooth compatible phone and a Bluetooth compatible Toyota – you are set!

Q.  The exact Toyota that I want doesn’t have Bluetooth equipped.  What can I do?
A.  Don’t worry – we can add Blu-Logic hands-free Bluetooth to any of our new cars.

Q. Is it complicated to program?
A. No! You only need to program each phone once. When you purchase your new car, we’ll help you program your phone.

Q. I’m sharing this car with my spouse. Can I have more than one phone?
A. Yes. Multiple phones can be store in Toyota Bluetooth systems.

Q.  Do I have to get the “top of the line” Toyota for Bluetooth?
A.  Bluetooth is available on a variety of trim levels for many of our vehicles.  For example, Bluetooth is available on the LE model of both the Toyota Camry and the Toyota Sienna.
